I know what it feels like to come through the other side.
A counsellor and meditation teacher with 25 years of practice and a lived understanding of anxiety. With over a decade as an educator and a PhD exploring how people navigate change with a strong sense of identity, my counselling is grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience.
my story
In my mid-twenties, I experienced anxiety, panic attacks and agoraphobia that brought my world to a standstill. What helped me heal and what ultimately changed everything was a combination of CBT, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, meditation, and a growing understanding of how the nervous system works.
That experience didn't just change my life. It shaped my entire understanding of what it means to support another person through the same journey.
"Healing from anxiety is not optional for a full life. It is foundational to one."
Why this work.
A calling, not just a career.
Women carry an enormous amount, emotionally, physically, socially. They navigate unique mental health challenges arising from biology, hormones, and the weight of a complex society, and they often do it while showing up for everyone else first. Healing from anxiety is not optional for a full life. It is foundational to one.
I am the mother of two daughters, a teacher of yoga and meditation for over seven years, and a counsellor who has worked alongside women and young people in educational and community settings. Every thread of this work has brought me to a deeper understanding of the pressures women face and a deep personal calling to offer the kind of support that actually helps.
How I work.
Collaborative. Client-led. Deeply personal
My approach begins with acceptance of you, exactly as you are, without labels or pathology. Sessions draw on an integrative range of evidence-based modalities, shaped to what you need.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Building on your existing strengths to move toward the life you want
CBT
Understanding the link between thoughts, feelings and behaviour
Mindfulness Based Therapy
Present-moment awareness and a new relationship with difficult thoughts
ACT
Clarifying your values and acting in alignment with them, even with anxiety present
A 25-year practice, brought into the therapy room.
I have been a student of meditation and yoga for 25 years, and a teacher of those practices for 7. This is not a modality I arrived at through study alone, it is a lived practice that has been central to my own healing and my ongoing relationship with wellbeing.
The meditation instruction I offer is not generic or prescriptive. It is personalised to the individual, adapted for the nervous system, and offered with the kind of nuance that only comes from decades of practice and a genuine understanding of what actually works for real people in real lives.

If something in these words resonates, I'd love to hear from you.
The first step is simply reaching out. There is no pressure, no expectation, just a conversation about where you are and whether working together feels right.
